Cancer Medium, 2018

How far have we come in cancer research? This print series explores the landscape of communications surrounding cancer research by recreating historical advertisements with cancer cells themselves as the medium.  Even through all of the advancements in science and technology, many elements from the posters surrounding the language and politics remain similar today.  Each image is printed with millions of human cancer cells, with some posters reflecting an update to the message based on current knowledge, as well as how we imagine the future of a cancer free world.
